The Old Courthouse - Limeuil

This historic house is situated in the upper part of the village, just off one of the Squares, with no passing traffic, and a quietly secure garden at the rear. Dating from about 1240, it features a magnifcent carved stone renaissance fireplace in the Salon - a sunny room over the archway, with views over the village rooftops across the Dordogne river valley.  All mod cons are available , including internet, free worldwide landline phonecalls, and UK TV and radio by satellite plus books and a music system.

In addition to the deep-cushioned comfort of the salon, there is a high-ceiling, beamed double Bedroom (which can be arranged either as a kingsize or two single beds), with a French door opening directly onto the rear Terrace above the Garden; a 'wet-room' Shower; and a Kitchen/Dining Room also with direct access to the Garden. There is a washing machine in the 'cave' (cellar).  Drive through the archway, and there is shared private parking adjoining the house.

The Garden is private and totally secure - an unusual benefit in an old medieval village, where many houses have no more than a yard for outside space.

The rent cost has only two levels - £495 per week up to 30th April; and after 30th September. . . . and £555 at all other times.
